March 21, 2007: Romans 8:26

"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." Romans 8:26, NIV

Have you ever been so steeped in a situation that you got to the point where you just couldn't pray anymore? I am discovering that when I am speechless, it is for a reason. If all you can do is groan-- God still knows your heart... He knows what you need... even when you are not sure that you do.

I must say, I am truly enjoying the camaraderie that I'm finding in you posts. I am encouraged and inspired as well. I'm also wondering where you are now in life. Your last post was over a year ago, am I'm curious about what is going on in the present. How is the "control issue"? Have you experienced even more growth in this area? I would love to hear more about it. Thank you so much for sharing your life here...This is exactly where I am in my life. This blog was a perfect find...Thank you GOD!

Thank you for your post. I think control is such a human issue and such a struggle. As for me, I have been through a multitude of changes over the last year-- really the reason I let this blog go-- and these changes have definitely led to growth in the area of control. I have dealt with health issues and returning to work, and am currently in an "I'm not sure what is going to happen" stage. My health issues have kind-of tied my hands on part of it, and I know that God uses things such as this, as well as valleys in order to teach us, to grow us in His image. I do believe that I have changed and grown because of these things and I can now understand that the point is not to worry, but to allow God to change you through it... that is exactly why He allows things like this to happen to us-- because He loves us. We are being molded.

My family is currently going through a possible job loss, and while I reacted to that possibly in a human way, I am also feeling this sense of peace and being carried. God provides.

I will keep you in my prayers. Please pray for my family as well as we seek His direction and answers.

Blessings to you.
